Pune, April 11: Riding on young Sanju Samson's maiden ton, Delhi Daredevils (DD) registered their first victory of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017, as they annihilated Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) by a whopping 97 runs here on Tuesday (April 11).

Chasing a daunting target of 206 in 20 overs, Pune succumbed to the pressure of a massive total and were bundled out for 108 in 16.1 overs.

Samson scored 102 off just 63 balls to help Delhi post a whopping total against Pune side sans Steve Smith. Pune now face a daunting task of chasing the massive target.
A brilliant cameo from Chris Morris, who scored 38 from 9 deliveries, helped Delhi go past 200. Chris Morris blazed his way to 38 off a mere nine balls, helping the visitors amass 45 runs runs in the last two overs of the innings with a flurry of sixes and fours.
In reply, Pune's innings fell apart within the first 10 overs as they were reeling at 54 for five.
Samson got to his maiden T20 century with a straight six off Adam Zampa in the Daredevils innings' penultimate over. In all, Samson struck eight boundaries and five sixes, while Morris found the fence four times and cleared it thrice during his cameo.
