Chennai Super Kings registered sensational win over Gujarat Titans in a last-ball thriller in the final to lift the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 trophy at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Chennai Super Kings won the game by five runs via DLS method as they chased down the revised target of 171 runs in 15 overs. After almost three hours were wasted due to rain and wet outfield, the match officials reduced the second innings to 15 overs and CSK required 167 runs in 14.3 overs.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway gave CSK a fine start. Ajinkya Rahane, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube and Ravindra Jadeja played brilliant cameos in the death overs and helped CSK cross the winning line on the final ball of the match.
It was a bit anti-climax for the MS Dhoni fans as the CSK skipper was dismissed for a golden duck when 22 runs were required from the last 14 balls. But Jadeja held on to his nerves and delivered by hitting a six and a boundary on the last two balls of the game.
CSK opener Devon Conway became the first New Zealand cricketer to win the Player of the Match award in an IPL Final.
