IPL 2023 Qualifier 2 GT vs MI: Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians thrashed newbies Lucknow Super Giants by a massive 81-run margin in Eliminator and booked the Qualifier 2 berth in the season.
Rohit Sharma-led MI will now face defending IPL champions Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2 in Ahmedabad. GT lost to Chennai Super Kings in the Qualifier 1 of the IPL 2023. But by virtue of finishing the league stage at the top, the Hardik Pandya-led side gave itself another shot at fighting for the trophy.
Gujarat Titans will now focus on the Qualifier 2 where they'll be hosting the winner of Eliminator, which was also played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. MI produced a dominating performance in Chennai and registered a confidence-boosting win over Lucknow.

Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by 15 runs in Qualifier 1 after posting a respectable 172 for 7. In the run chase of 173, Gujarat Titans - who are one of the best chasing teams in the competition - were bundled out for 157 in 20 overs.
In the Eliminator, MI captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq did well with the ball to prevent Mumbai Indians to 182/8 in 20 overs. But in response, right-arm pacer Akash Madhwal returned with figures of 5/5 to bundle LSG out for 101 and made the game one-sided.
