Royal Challengers Bangalore showcased a decent bowling display against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 2). Tilka Varma took Mumbai Indians to 171/7, but at the start, RCB did exceedingly well and kept MI to just 29/3 at the end of the powerplay.
RCB bowlers bowled a tight line and picked up three wickets during the fielding restrictions. Ishan Kishan (10), Rohit Sharma (1) and Cameron Green (5) - all departed within the first six overs.

Reece Topley picked up the wicket of Cameron Green while Akash Deep picked up the prized wicket of Rohit Sharma. But it was Mohammed Siraj who impressed the most during the fiery bowling period by the RCB bowlers.
Mohammed Siraj was excellent in the powerplay. The RCB pacer conceded just 2 runs in his first over. He troubled Ishan Kishan from the start and clocked a decent pace in his first over. Then in his second over, Siraj managed to get the wicket of Ishan Kishan, as the southpaw's attempted shot only managed a top edge and Harshal Patel made no mistake at third man.
In his final over in the powerplay, Siraj was excellent again. He bamboozled Rohit Sharma with length and should have had the wicket of the MI captain, but only not to be because of a mixup with Dinesh Karthik created a collision as Rohit's top edge found the ground instead of the palms.
But it was fantastic bowling by Siraj in the powerplay. The pacer bowled 13 dot balls in his first three overs in the powerplay, didn't concede a boundary, and picked up an important wicket.
1st Over - 1, 0, 0, 0, 1, 0
2nd Over - 0, 0, W, 1, 0, 0,
3rd Over - Wd, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0
The pacer ended up with figures of 1/21 at the end of his four overs, conceding 16 runs in his last over as Tilak Varma took him on. The pacer also bowled a hattrick of wides in the final over, which took some sort of toll on his figures. In total, the pacer completed his spell with 15 dot balls.
