Just a day before the start of IPL 2024, Ruturaj Gaikwad has been appointed as the new captain for Chennai Super Kings replacing the five-time champion Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Gaikwad has been part of CSK since 2019 and played 52 matches for the franchise. In the 2021 IPL campaign, he won the orange cap, helping CSK to become champion for the fourth time.
