IPL 2024: KL Rahul returns from England, on road to recovery at NCA

Star India batter KL Rahul was sidelined from the last three Tests against England due to a quadriceps injury, for which he underwent surgery last year. However, he is making good progress towards fitness ahead of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024), set to commence on March 22.

Rahul, who serves as the captain of Lucknow SuperGiants, is gearing up for their first IPL 2024 match against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on March 24.

Experiencing discomfort in his right quadriceps, Rahul sought expert advice in London to address his injury concerns. "He had consultations with top medical professionals in London. After returning to India on Sunday, he has commenced rehabilitation at the BCCI's National Cricket Academy in Bangalore," a source informed TOI. It is anticipated that he will receive the Return to Play certificate from the NCA soon.
