In the IPL, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award is handed to the person who makes the biggest impact throughout the season. There is a chart for the MVP award, which quantifies points for an individual player based on many components.

The MVP award points are based on a player picking wickets, bowling dot balls, taking catches and doing stumpings. A batter's number is not based on runs scored, rather than the number of fours and sixes hit during in the entire season.
Currently, till the end of the IPL 2024 Match 29 between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, KKR all-rounder Sunil Narine tops the MVP list. The veteran West Indies star has accumulated 142.0 points and is leading the race.
Two Indian stalwarts, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are not far either as they occupy the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively, separated by just 0.5 points between themselves. Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag are the other notable Indian players in the list while Jasprit Bumrah is also among the top 10 list.
