MS Dhoni etched history after Chennai Super Kings' victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday (April 28) in the IPL 2024.
Dhoni became the first player to be part of 150 wins in the IPL, which has come since 2008. In these years, the India legend has represented two franchises, Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiants.

MS Dhoni has played in 259 matches in the IPL over the years. He won the IPL five times, with all of his title wins coming with the Chennai Super Kings. The 42-year-old handed over captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad ahead of this season.
The India stalwart also holds the summit spot as the most successful captain in the IPL with 133 wins. The former India captain is seconded by Rohit Sharma, who has 87 wins as Mumbai Indians skipper.
MS Dhoni has the most number of wins now as he has a tally of 150 victories. Apart from Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja is the joint 2nd in the list as the CSK all-rounder has been part of 133 wins, along with Rohit Sharma.
Dinesh Karthik sits in the 4th spot with 125 wins to his name, followed by former CSK batter Suresh Raina, who has been part of 122 victories. Virat Kohli sits 7th in the list with 116 wins to his name, all of which have come in RCB colours.
Kieron Pollard is the foreign player with the highest number of IPL victories, as he was part of 106 Mumbai Indians victories during his playing days. A total of 11 players have completed 100 or more wins as an IPL player.
