In their milestone 250th match in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) clinched a commanding 35-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday (April 25) in a league game in IPL 2024.
Throughout the 17 seasons of the premier domestic T20 competition, RCB has yet to lift the coveted IPL trophy, and it appears that their quest for the championship title will be prolonged for another year as the team hasn't been in the best of form in the ongoing IPL 2024 season.
Currently positioned at the bottom of the table with only 2 points from eight matches, the Bengaluru-based franchise's performance in the ongoing season may not align with their aspirations. Nonetheless, they have managed to secure victories in their landmark 100th, 200th, and 250th IPL matches.
In their illustrious history spanning 250 IPL matches, RCB has reached the finals on three occasions, unfortunately ending up on the losing side each time. Despite their consistent presence in the playoffs, having qualified eight times in the past 16 seasons, the elusive IPL trophy has remained beyond their grasp.
