IPL 2024 Trade Window is still active and one of the most discussed player transfer being talked about on the internet is South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock's move from Lucknow Super Giants to Kolkata Knight Riders.
According to the latest gossip, KKR, who are in need of a wicketkeeper-batter, ideally an Indian player, are in talks with several other teams for a possible trade ahead of the IPL 2024 auction on December 19.

And another wild rumour floating on the internet, KKR are believed to be in talks with LSG for their overseas wicketkeeper De Kock, who played a bit part role earlier this year after being the main stay in IPL 2022.
With the arrival of Nicholas Pooran and the unavailiblity of the Protea in the initial part of the tournament, LSG used Kyle Mayers as the opener and Pooran as the wicketkeeper to fill De Kock's void in IPL 2023.
De Kock, who has amassed 2907 runs, including centuries at a strike rate of 134.21 in 96 IPL matches, played just four matches in IPL 2023 after featuring all the 15 outings in 2022.
So, this led to talk of the South African being deemed surplus to LSG's requirement thanks to the four overseas limit in the squad and many opening options available for the Lucknow-based franchise, which has exited the Eliminator in their two seasons in the lucrative league.
LSG, who bought De Kock for Rs 6.75 Crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction, retained the services of the South African for the second year in the running during the IPL 2023 retention deadline day.
But this year, despite retentions already being revealed, players have been linked with football league-kind of transfers as there is a rumour that the IPL auction will be fizzled out soon.
With IPL auction 2024 fast-approaching, there is talk of a three-way trade between LSG, KKR and Sunrisers Hyderabad involving De Kock and Mayank Agarwal. However the Lucknow-based franchise may have killed the rumour with their latest social media.
LSG on Wednesday (December 6) took to X, formerly Twitter, to hint that De Kock is actually staying and not going to be part of any trade to KKR or any other franchise before the auction.
"100% reason to remember the name," LSG captioned the post with a video clip of De Kock's highlights for the national side and the franchise in previous two seasons of IPL. So, this kind of hints that De Kock is after all staying with Super Giants for another season.
The 30-year-old De Kock, who had a spectacular ODI World Cup outing with South Africa, has announced his retirement from the 50-over format. He is currently playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 League for Delhi Bulls.
While this LSG post doesn't really confirm anything, there is still every chance of a trade happening in the next few months as the IPL 2024 trade window, which is open until December 13 before a break on the auction day, will reopen a day after the auction on December 20 and will last until one month before the season starts.
