IPL 2024: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) pacers Mayank Agarwal and Mohsin Khan will very likely be awarded with BCCI's Fast Bowling Contract as per reports. The two pacers will get Rs 1 crore each annually under the contract.
The two fast bowlers have impressed one and all in the ongoing season of IPL 2024. While Mayank Yadav has made headlines with his high speed deliveries, Mohsin Khan has also managed to pick three wickets in two matches. Mayank has bowled the fastest delivery in IPL 2024 at 156.7 kmph.

“Yes, it’s under discussion. The Fast Bowling Contract was created to encourage such young talents. If you see, we have Akash Deep, Umran and others. Mohsin, Mayank are also part of the discussion. And the selectors will have inputs whether some of the young guys can be added to the contract,” a BCCI official told Insidesport.
BCCI's "Fast Bowling Contract' was introduced in February this year when the board announced the central contract list consisting of 30 players divided in categories - A, B and C.
Akash Deep, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Umran Malik, Yash Dayal and Vidwath Kaverappa were named separately in the Fast Bowling Contract. The players under this category will also get Rs 1 crore annually like Grade C players, Insidesport has suggested.
The Fast Bowling Contract for Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan will make them eligible for facilities enjoyed by other centrally contracted players. They will also be able to train at the NCA without permission from their respective state associations. In fact, the NCA will bear all the cost of their training, accommodation and injury rehab.
Mayank Yadav recently got injured during LSG's match against Gujarat Titans (GT). The Delhi bowler felt soreness in his lower abdominal area while bowling in the match. Lucknow Head coach Justin Langer has revealed that the 21-year-old will miss a couple of matches.
