IPL 2024: Why does KKR star Sunil Narine always carry a Special Suitcase? Andre Russell reveals shocking Gym Tale

Kolkata Knight Riders' two Caribbean gladiators revealed some anecdotes about each other in a recent podcast. Sunil Narine and Andre Russell were the latest players in the Knights DugOut podcast where they spoke on many things.

Both Narine and Russell are having tremendous seasons for the Knight Riders. Narine is playing sublimely with bat and ball, while Andre Russell has become a reliable wicket-taker for KKR this season.

In the KKR podcast, it was revealed that Sunil Narine always travels with a special suitcase with him. The KKR star plays T20 cricket around the world, but wherever he goes, he carries Caribbean Chips in suitcases, which are made in Trinidad.

Narine revealed that it became a habit for him as he used to bring his own chips to satiate the snack cravings.

"It became a habit. The first few years, when you're coming to a new country and the food is different. So just to have some similarity and comfort in food, I started it. And over the years, I continued this habit," Narine revealed on the podcast.

Narine was also given some Indian wafers on the show and after tasting it, the KKR player confirmed that he will still stick with the Trinidadian flavour. The player also revealed why he never celebrates a Wicket, but Andre Russell went on to share a hilarious story about his KKR teammate.

Sunil Narine used his Home Gym only 'Once'

Russell revealed that Sunil Narine made a gym at his house. After a few days, when Russell went to Narine's house, he found out that all the equipment were brand new and untouched as the mystery spinner didn't even work out with those.

When asked about the reason for building a gym, Narine revealed that he built it during Covid-19 to work out if he gets bored at home. He also confirmed that he used the gym only once.

"I set up a gym, used it only once. But at least if you invite people over, they think you're proper professional [workout]," the KKR star hilariously said.

Despite not being a workout freak, Narine has been conducting his business quite brilliantly over the years. His team KKR are currently on top of the IPL 2024 table this season and a playoff spot is beckoning.
