Rinku Singh is set to enjoy a major windfall in the IPL 2025 onwards as the Indian batter has been retained for a mammoth price, as announced by Kolkata Knight Riders on the retention deadline day.
The India batter, who rose to stardom with the Knight Riders, will continue his journey with the franchise as the Knights announced him as their top pick in the retention list.

Rinku Singh's journey with KKR has seen him play 46 matches, amassing nearly 900 runs, including four half-centuries, showcasing his growth and consistency as a player. Initially playing only a few matches in his first three seasons, 2022 marked a turning point in his career. He made a significant impact by scoring 474 runs in 14 games, with an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52, including four half-centuries. This performance was pivotal in establishing him as a key player for KKR.

And as a reward, the Aligarh-born cricketer has seen a massive hike in his salary. Rinku was roped in for Rs 55 lakh in the auction. After the IPL 2025 retentions, the southpaw is set to earn Rs 13 crore, the highest-paid retained player for Kolkata Knight Riders.
With that, the India batter has garnered a massive 2263.64 per cent salary hike. Rinku is also poised to earn at least a crore more if he plays all the matches for the Knight Riders. BCCI introduced a match fee for all the players, as any contracted player will be additionally played Rs 7.5 lakh for each match he plays in the IPL.
