Soon after the final was sealed by SRH, Gambhir took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to congratulate the Hyderabad franchise. But in doing so, did he indirectly target Virat Kohli and his RCB team-mates? (Gambhir-Kohli fight)

"Congratulations @SunRisers on winning @IPL Nice guys DO finish first. Well done. Bowler win u cricket matches be it any format @BCCI," Gambhir wrote on his Twitter page.

By calling SRH players "nice guys", did Gambhir say that Kohli and his men were opposite? Also his message that bowlers win you cricket matches seemed to be saying that the batting-heavy RCB was no good against the tournament's best bowling attack?

Some of the fans did react to this tweet from Gambhir. They asked him whether he targeted Kohli.

"@GautamGambhir @SunRisers @IPL @BCCI I hope the tweet is not a comment on Virat. Can expect one from you though," Harsh Bindal asked Gambhir.

Another fan named Hrithika Reddy wrote, "@GautamGambhir @SunRisers @IPL @BCCI what does he mean by saying "nice guys do finish first" is he indirectly mentioning rcb are not good???."

One more supporter asked Gambhir whether he was "jealous" of Kohli. "@GautamGambhir @SunRisers @IPL @BCCI what does it mean "Nice guys DO finish first"? Gauti always seems jealous of @imVkohli," Vini tweeted.

Another comment asked whether Gambhir meant Kohli was a "bad guy". "@GautamGambhir @BCCI @SunRisers @IPL so does he mean @imVkohli is a bad guy with a bad team?," asked Arun V.

Delhi team-mates Gambhir and Kohli have had on-field altercations in the past. During this year's IPL, Gambhir was pumped up after KKR beat RCB and he celebrated by kicking a chair. He was fined 15 per cent of his match fees for it.
