Since its inception, Dhoni has led Chennai Super Kings (CSK), IPL's most popular franchise, which is facing 2-years ban from the Supreme Court of India. Dhoni was appointed the skipper of RSP in January, 2016.
The other four key players picked by RSP were Ajinkya Rahane, R Ashwin, Steven Smith and Faf du Plessis.

South African all-rounder Albie Morkel will be playing Rising Pune Supergiants for the first time. He had earlier played with MS Dhoni for Chennai Super Kings.
