New Delhi, June 20: After left handed batsman Yuvraj Singh, another Team India player Ishant Sharma got engaged on Sunday (June 19) and entered the list of cricketers who exchanged rings with their soul mates.
The Rising Pune Supergiants pacer got engaged to Pratima Singh, a basketball player, in the city.
Who is Pratima Singh?
Pratima hails from Varanasi's Shivpur area. Coming from a family of athletes, she is the youngest of five sisters in the family.
She was selected in 2006 in the Junior India basketball team and was named its captain in 2008. In 2010, she was part of the Indian team which participated in Asian Games.
Her eldest sister Priyanka Singh is NIH coach. Divya Singh is the coach of Junior India team. Her other two sisters Prashnti and Akanksha Singh also play for India.

The engagement ceremony was held at Delhi's Uppal Orchid in presence of family members of both the athletes.
Meanwhile, Ishant's India teammate Rohit Sharma congratulated him on Twitter while making a tongue-in-cheek remark.
"Welcome to the club @ImIshant congratulations you two. Lekin aaj ke din toh baal katva leta bhai" Rohit wrote on his Twitter handle.
