Australia wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis left a lasting impression on the crowded stadium in Visakhapatnam with a scintillating century against India in the first T20I on Thursday (November 23).
In the first T20I between India and Australia at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vishakhapatnam, Inglis dismantled the Indian bowling attack, achieving a remarkable T20I century in just 47 balls.

The right-handed batter - who was part of Australia's ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 winning campaign - was on song with the moment he stepped into the middle after acting India skipper Suryakumar Yadav elected to bowl first.
The England-born cricketer walked into the middle after the departure of opener Matthew Short (13) in the fifth over off Ravi Bishnoi and forged a mammoth 130-run stand with Steve Smith for the second wicket.
Inglis - whose knock was laced with 11 fours and 8 sixes - particularly targeted pacer Prasidh Krishna, launching a relentless assault on the Karnataka cricketer. He was dismissed for 110 off 50 deliveries and became Krishna's victim but he had already done the damage and helped Australia post 208 in 20 overs.
The 28-year-old's powerful shots left India skipper, Suryakumar Yadav - who is known as Mr 360 - in admiration. With eight impressive sixes, Inglis kept the audience on the edge of their seats and made a mockery of the young and inexperienced Indian bowling lineup.
After a slow start, he seized the opportunity against Indian bowlers, reaching the half-century mark in just 29 balls. The next 50 runs came even more swiftly, as he completed his century in a mere 18 deliveries.
Watching Inglis' assault fans started wondering if he's associated with any IPL franchise or not. Inglis is not part of any IPL team as went unsold in the previous IPL Auction.
However, as the IPL 2024 Auction approaches on December 19, Inglis has undoubtedly caught the attention of fans and IPL talent scouts. Inglis has done something similar to his fellow Australia teammate Cameron Green, who earned applause with his explosive performances against India in the limited overs format just before the IPL 2022 Auction.
Despite an unsuccessful attempt in the previous IPL auction, Inglis is likely to attract numerous bidders this time if he maintains such stellar performances in the ongoing T20I series between India and Australia.
