Legends League Cricket 2024 Auction: The much-anticipated third season of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) is set to commence on September 20, 2024, at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur.
Before the new edition, the players' auction for the cricket tournament was held in New Delhi on Thursday (August 29) where 97 players were purchased. Isuru Udana emerged as the most expensive player of the auction while Dhawal Kulkarni became the most expensive Indian.

This edition of Legends League Cricket will also feature six teams as follows: Konark Suryas, India Capitals, Southern Superstars, Manipal Tigers, Hyderabad, Gujarat. The Hyderabad and Gujarat franchises are yet to announce their names for this season.
This season features six teams competing in a thrilling 25-match tournament, culminating in the grand finale on October 16 at the Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
That brings us to the end of the live auction coverage of LLC 2024. A total of 97 players were purchased by the six teams.

2. Hyderabad - Players Bought: 13 - Amount Spent: ₹5.27 crore - Remaining Purse: ₹2.72 crore
3. India Capitals - Players Bought: 18 - Amount Spent: ₹5.49 crore - Remaining Purse: ₹2.50 crore
4. Konark Suryas Odisha - Players Bought: 16 - Amount Spent: ₹7.43 crore - Remaining Purse: ₹56.59 lakh
5. Manipal Tigers - Players Bought: 17 - Amount Spent: ₹7.59 crore - Remaining Purse: ₹40.225 lakh
6. Southern Superstars - Players Bought: 18 - Amount Spent: ₹6.40 crore - Remaining Purse: ₹1.59 crore

Praveen Gupta - the slow left-arm spinner from Uttar Pradesh, with a base price of Rs 5 lakh - has raked in the moolah. He's been purchased by Manipal Tigers for a whopping amount of Rs 48 lakh.
Monu Kumar - Haryana all-rounder, with a base price of Rs 8 lakh - has been purchased by Southern Superstars for Rs 10.5 lakh.
Sudeep Tyagi - the former India pacer - goes unsold.
Former Sri Lanka cricketer Chaturanga de Silva - with a base price of Rs 12.5 lakh - has been bought by Southern Superstars for Rs 29 lakh.
KP Appanna - left-arm orthodox spinner - sold to Odisha at a base price of Rs 10 lakh.
Former Delhi cricketer Pawan Suyal - the left-arm pacer, with a base price of Rs 8 lakh - sold to India Capitals at 17.5 lakh.
Monty Panesar - the former England spinner - doesn't find any takers in the LLC 2024 auction.
Parwinder Awana sold to Capitals for Rs 12 lakh.

Former Bihar and Jharkhand cricketer Samar Quadri - who is a right-arm off-spinner, with a base price of Rs 10 lakh - has been purchased by Gujarat for Rs 25 lakh.
Bharat Chipli - the former Karnataka cricketer - has been sold to India Capitals for Rs 37 lakh. His base price was Rs 10 lakh.
Abhishek Jhunjhunwala - former England cricketer - goes unsold.
Jesal Karia - former Gujarat all-rounder with a base price of Rs 5 lakh - has been purchased by Southern Superstars at Rs 15.5 lakh.
Samiullah Beigh, Manan Sharma, and Amit Uniyal go unsold.
All-rounder Amitoze Singh was sold to Manipal for Rs 6 lakh.
Arnab Nandi goes unsold.
Diwesh Pathania - the all-rounder - has been sold to Odisha at his base price of Rs 5 lakh.
Gnaneshwar Rao has been sold to India Capitals for Rs 10 lakh.
Avinash Yadav - left-arm orthodox bowler - remains unsold.
Jon Kent - the South African all-rounder - also remains unsold. Interestingly, his image was wrong as it was of Dean Elgar.
Former West Indies pacer Shannon Gabriel (base price Rs 12.5) has been purchased by Gujarat for Rs 17 lakh.
Left-arm pacer Samad Fallah (base price Rs 10 lakh) remains unsold. Fallah represented Maharashtra in the domestic circuit.
Former Jharkhand cricketer - who played for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL - came at the auction table at a base price of Rs 10 lakh. He found interest from Odisha and Manipal as the bidding crossed 30 lakh in no time. The right-arm pacer - who was born in Jaunpur (UP) - was sold to Manipal eventually at Rs 31 lakh.
52-year-old Pravin Tambe - the right-arm leg-spinner from Mumbai - has been purchased by Odisha for Rs 28 lakh. There is a biopic on Pravin Tambe - who became the oldest player to debut in the IPL - on Disney+Hotstar. Tambe has worked with a few IPL franchises as a support staff as well.
Former UP cricketer Pankaj Singh - who was picked up by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL inaugural season - has been picked up by Capitals with a bid of Rs 20 lakh. The right-arm pacer had a base price of Rs 16 lakh.
Former South African chinaman Paul Adams remains unsold.
Amila Aponso of Sri Lanka also finds no takers.
Imran Khan has been sold to Manipal at his base price of 12.58 lakh.
Rahul Sharma - the former India leg-spinner with a base price of Rs 25 lakh - has been purchased by India Capitals for Rs 31 lakh.
This season holds special significance as it marks the return of high-profile cricket to Kashmir after nearly 40 years, offering a unique opportunity for local fans to witness live cricketing action.
Raman Raheja, co-founder of Legends League Cricket, expressed his excitement about bringing the league to Kashmir. "We are thrilled to bring LLC back for another season, especially in Kashmir. This is a rare opportunity for the people of Kashmir to experience live cricket after almost four decades. The players are equally excited to witness the beauty of Kashmir and enjoy the warmth of the local fans," Raheja said.
The league will take place across three venues: Jodhpur, Surat, and Srinagar. The opening phase will kick off in Jodhpur, followed by matches at Surat's Lalbhai Contractor Stadium. The final stage will be held in Jammu's Maulana Azad Stadium before culminating in the final in Srinagar.
The LLC is known for attracting legendary cricketers from around the world. Last season featured the likes of Suresh Raina, Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Gautam Gambhir, Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, and Ross Taylor, with 110 iconic players participating.
