Lucknow Super Giants speedster Mayank Yadav has tormented batters with sheer pace in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, but Gujarat Titans' David Miller has a simple tip for his teammates on how to play the new pace sensation ahead of match 21 on Sunday (April 7).
The 21-year-old uncapped player has troubled the batters in his two appearances this season with his blistering pace and accuracy, giving LSG a significant advantage over their rivals in the current edition.

Yadav, who had missed the whole of last season due to injury in training, has made an incredible start to life in the lucrative league, claiming six wickets in two matches with figures of 3 for 27 and 3 for 14, which also saw him bag player of the match in both games.
LSG had opened their season with a defeat to Rajasthan Royals, but bounced back with successive wins over Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru folllowing the inclusion of Mayank Yadav in the playing 11.
The tall right-arm quick announced his arrival by clocking 155.8kmph against PBKS, and later bowled a 156.7kmph delivery, the fastest ball in the ongoing IPL, against RCB.
Mayank has so far dismissed Glenn Maxwell, Prabhsimran Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Jonny Bairstow, Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar in IPL 2024 as the batters were hurried on in their shots or beaten by his consistent pace.
The Delhi bowler has consistently bowled over 140kmph and clocked 150kmph plus in 17 of his 48 deliveries so far in IPL 2024. He is likely to trouble GT batters when they face LSG in Lucknow on Sunday (April 7).
Miller, who was injured and missed GT's most recent match against Punjab Kings, acknowledged the LSG pacer is bowling well, but added "faster the ball comes the further it goes".
"He is bowling really well, something that we are aware of and making sure that we do what we need to against him. Sometimes the faster the ball comes the further it goes," said Miller during a pre-match press conference on the eve of the LSG vs GT match.
The South African batter, who is likely to miss the game against LSG, also revealed how his GT teammates need to play the latest speed sensation by simply adding "see out his overs if he's bowling well and target other bowlers".
"If you feel like you can take him down (then) take him down, other than that he is bowling really well and just get through (his overs) and you can line up some other bowler (to score runs)," Miller added.
"It's great to see some fast bowlers coming through. Express pace like that is exciting. You get a lot of attention and stuff like that. He's pretty young, so he's got a lot of years ahead of him. It's great to see the energy that he runs in; the exuberance of youth."
