... The Run Chase ...
Tiruppur with the advantage - Plenty of starts in the top order for Lyca Kovai Kings, but no one could really get going. Balasubramaniam Sachin and Andre Siddarth did get into the 30s but threw their wickets away and skipper Shahrukh Khan couldn't conjure up a late comeback either. Sai Kishore on the other hand marshalled his troops well and was miserly himself. The onus is now on the Tiruppur openers to break the back of the chase early on. However, if Kovai pick up early wickets, this could turn into a real close contest. Stay tuned for the chase.
Middling total on the board - The Kovai Kings have huffed and puffed and reached a total of 166, which isn't anything great, but it is still very defendable. IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans will be the more pleased side at the break, having closed out the innings well and will be eyeing up another win.
A direct hit and Deeban was out by miles, but the fielder misses and the batter sneaks in a single. Hard length over off, K Deeban Lingesh backs away and hits it down to extra cover for a single. Lyca Kovai Kings end with 166/8 on the board.

OUT! CAUGHT! Taken on the second attempt by Amith Sathvik. The slower bumper is doing the work nicely for Tiruppur at the death. Dug in shorter and outside off by Ragupathy Silambarasan. OUT! CAUGHT! That's a soft dismissal, and after a bit of cat-and-mouse, T Natarajan does get the better of Shahrukh Khan. Another slower bumper, in and around off, angling away. Khan has to reach for it and ends up just jabbing it towards short third. Ragupathy Silambarasan takes a simple catch lunging ahead and the Kovai skipper has to walk back.

Not where he intended that to go. Banged in short again, at the batter, Shahrukh Khan gets the pull off the top edge and down to fine leg for a couple of runs. The 150 is now up for Kovai Kings.

The reigning champions roar - A third win on the bounce for IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans and they keep climbing up the table, showcasing their grit and resilience. As for Lyca Kovai Kings, it is a second straight defeat and they will hope to bounce back stronger. Chasing a middling total, Tiruppur lost the talismanic Tushar Raheja early but his opening partner Amith Sathvik struck another half century. The spinner of Kovai Kings did well to keep chipping in with the wickets but S Mohamed Ali and Mathivannan M added an unbeaten 63-run stand to take Tiruppur over the line with 2 overs to spare.
A close shave - IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans seemed to be in control after that first innings and then Amith Sathvik broke the back of the chase, but a plethora of wickets made things interesting. Lyca Kovai Kings really felt they were in the game, but the 7th wicket partnership was a telling one.
FOUR! It's all done, S Mohamed Ali finishes things off in style, and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans win by 4 wickets. This is pitched fuller at the stumps, S Mohamed Ali clears the front leg and hammers it straight down the ground for a boundary.
