The ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia Region Qualifier B opening match between Malaysia and China saw history being created on July 26 in Kuala Lumpur.
The Chinese Cricket Team - who made their T20I debut in the match - had a forgettable outing after getting bundled out for a paltry 23 in 11.2 overs after electing to bat.

Malaysia seamer Syazrul Ezat was the wrecker-in-chief against China as he became the first bowler in the history of the men's T20I to pick up a seven-wicket haul. The right-arm medium pacer returned with 7/8 to restrict China to the third-lowest total in T20I history. Interestingly, all seven of Ezat's dismissals were bowled.
China survived their first four overs without losing any wickets but all hell broke loose in the fifth over when Ezat - bowling his second over - with textbook in-swinger disturbed the timbre of opener Wang Liuyang for 3. Wei Guolei suffered a similar fate and scored 7 before joining his opening partner in the dugout.
With floodgates opened, the Chinese batting order started crumbling like a castle of cards. Tian Senqun became Ezat's third victim of the over and departed on the second ball he faced, missing a fuller-length delivery. Chen Zhuoyue was similarly outfoxed for a first-ball duck.
Ezat picked up his fifth wicket in his next over before coming back in his final over to take two more to reduce China to 20 for nine. Vijay Unni wrapped up the innings by trapping Luo Shilin in front. Captain Wang Qi faced six deliveries but didn't trouble the scorer before getting bowled by Ezat.
In spite of losing openers Syed Aziz and Amir Azim early on, Malaysia was scarcely troubled in a chase of 24. Virandeep Singh struck a pair of boundaries through the off side to end unbeaten on 19 and seal the chase with more than 15 overs to spare. Ezat was awarded the Player-of-the-match award for his record-breaking feat.
In their second T20I match of the tournament and also of their career, the Chinese team again lost, this time against Thailand. The Chinese did better than their first game before getting all out for 26 inside 10.5 overs.
Nopphon Senamontree (4/9) and Robert Raina (3/3) starred with the ball for Thailand before their batters chased down the target of 27 runs for the loss of one wicket and won the game by 9 wickets. Thailand overhauled the total in 4.1 overs.
