Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav has a long-term vision as the player revealed after a stellar performance in the IPL 2024 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Tuesday (April 2).
The LSG pacer picked up three wickets yet again in his four overs. The youngster recorded a fantastic figure of 3 for 14 in his Four overs and was adjudged as the Player of the Match.

After his excellent bowling performance, the player talked in the post-match presentation and revealed his ultimate aim. Yadav said his main goal is to play for India for a long time. He was also ecstatic with consecutive Player of the Match awards but was happier as the team won.
"I feel very good that I've got two player of the match award but feel better that we have won two matches. My aim is to serve the country for many years. It is just a start and I want to focus on my main goal," Yadav said after the match.
The youngster also revealed the two secrets of his pace bowling, as he clocked at breakneck speed yet again. His delivery of 156.7 kph in the match shattered his own record in the previous match and took its place as one of the fastest deliveries in IPL history.
Yadav says the main area of his focus is the diet and recovery training, as it plays the biggest part.
"I think to bowl at speed, we need like diet, gym and training and you have to be perfect at everything. I have a massive focus on diet and recovery training as well. That is the thing that is helping at the moment," he added.
The LSG captain KL Rahul was also ecstatic with his new war horse. Mayank was left out of the LSG squad last season due to injury and Rahul hailed the youngster's temperament and resilience.
"So happy to see Mayank bowl the way he's been bowling. He's waited patiently for a year, he's working really hard, he's really professional, has a great temperament," Rahul said.
Mayank Yadav now has six wickets in two IPL matches, which takes him to the 2nd position in the Purple Cap list for this IPL 2024 season.
