An explosive finish - Chinelle Henry later ran havoc in the closing stages, hitting powerfully to push the total past 150. 21 runs came off the final set as Henry stayed unbeaten on 33 off just 12 balls while Kerr stayed unbeaten on 49. Their explosive partnership completely flipped the script in the final overs. From a sluggish start to a grandstand finish, MI London have set up a fascinating chase for London Spirit. Stay tuned...
A quick chat - Amelia Kerr says it was nice to be able to contribute and is particularly impressed with the ball-striking from Henry. She feels 151 is just above par on this surface. Kerr says it is a good wicket, better than the one used in the opening game. She points out that there is a short boundary on one side and the wind has been swirling throughout. Mentions that her side will need to bowl and field well if they are to successfully defend the total.
Kerr anchors with a knock - With wickets falling, Amelia Kerr held the innings together brilliantly. Her cool head under pressure kept the scoreboard ticking over when her side needed it most. Despite disciplined overs from Nadine de Klerk and Grace Harris, Kerr played the master anchor role to perfection and completed a magnificent fightback.
MI London Women end with 151 on the board - MI London Women found runs hard to come by early on against a disciplined London Spirit attack. Alice Davidson-Richards provided a brief cameo, but Marizanne Kapp set the tone for the bowling side with a brilliant spell of 2/24. Sitting at 63/2 at the halfway stage, the batters struggled to find any real fluency. By the 65-ball strategic time-out, MI London were kept under wraps at 81/3.
SIX! All the way. What an end to the innings for MI London Women. 21 runs off the final set and MI London Women finish on 151/4. Nadine goes into the wicket, on middle and leg. This sits up to be hit, and Henry takes full toll. She pivots and pulls it behind square leg for a maximum.
FOUR! Launched down the ground. Pitched up, on middle. Henry backs away and swings through the line. Thumps it back over the bowler's head and the long on fielder stands no chance.
SIX! Clean strike. First six of the innings and it comes on the 98th ball. Nadine bowls the slower one but it is right in the slot, on off. Henry collapses her back knee and clobbers it over deep mid-wicket for a 79-metre six.
DROPPED! Marie Kelly shells a simple chance. Off-pace ball, on off. Kerr makes room to force it through the off side. Slams it straight to cover, where the ball bursts through Kelly's hands and hits her on the wrist before dropping to the ground. Single taken.
FOUR! A gift and Amelia Kerr accepts it gleefully. Yorker attempted by Nadine De Klerk but it comes out as a thigh-high full toss, on off and middle. Kerr makes room and flat bats it over mid off for a boundary. Moves to 48, does Amelia.
Can MI London Women push past 140? Nadine De Klerk will bowl the final set of the first innings.

PUT DOWN! A very tough chance. One of those that either they stick, or they don't. Low full toss, on off. Henry smacks it back towards the bowler. Dean sticks out the left hand but it hits her palm and deflects away to the off side. They cross.
FOUR! Up and over. 10 runs off the set. 24 runs off the last 10 balls. A much-needed acceleration for MI London Women. Bowled at pace by Dottin, on a length, on off and middle. Kerr stays leg side of the ball and slices it over backward point for a boundary.
Out the back of the hand, it is the slower one, in line with the off pole, on a length. Kerr shapes up for the scoop initially but then adjusts to the reverse lap but fails to get it away.
Hits the top of off, does Dottin. Henry stabs it wide of cover and crosses over.
Wide! Sprayed down leg, Henry misses out on the tickle.
FOUR! Good shot. Pace on now by Dottin, on a back of a length, around off. Henry presses back and lets the ball come on before punching it through point. 3rd boundary in 6 balls for Chinelle.
Nicely bowled! Takes pace off and keeps it around the off stump. Henry shapes up to steer it behind point but misses.
Very full, on middle. Kerr can't get under it and drills it back past the bowler for a single. A much-needed productive set for MI London Women. 14 runs off it.
FOUR! Gets it through. Bowled on a length, on middle and leg. Kerr backs away to open up the off side and angles the bat face to carve it to the left of the cover fielder for another boundary. 13 runs off the set with a ball to go.
Nadine takes pace off and keeps it near the tramline on off. Henry reaches out and hits it down to long off for a run.
FOUR! Easy pickings. Another loose ball by Nadine De Klerk. A low full toss, sliding down leg. Henry does not miss oust as she clips it through backward square leg for four more.
FOUR! Hit hard and wide enough. The 100 is up for MI London Women. A half-volley by De Klerk, outside off. Henry extends her hands and slams it to the right of the diving extra cover fielder for her first boundary.
Very full, on middle. Kerr firms the drive back to the bowler.
Not in control but safe. This is slowed down by Harris and the length is dragged back, on off. Kerr steps out and has a swing at it. She is nowhere near the pitch of the ball and slices it over wide mid off. Marie Kelly turns around and goes after it from mid off while Nadine De Klerk converges from deep cover but the ball lands right between them. Two taken.
Can the men top this? A real humdinger on Derby Day in London. Let's hope the men's game now serves up something similar, if not even better. That fixture has been a rather one-sided rivalry in recent times, with MI London dominating the head-to-head. Henry ignited the finish - Earlier in the game, London Spirit Women had MI London Women in check for most of the innings, but the wheels came off towards the back end. The top three all got starts but failed to convert them into anything substantial. Amelia Kerr found her rhythm at just the right time, but it was Chinelle Henry who really provided the spark for the hosts with some superb ball-striking. 52 runs were scored off the last 20 balls, which lifted Spirit to 152.
Spirit let it slip - Neither batter could see it through, and when both fell in the space of four balls, MI London Women sensed an opening. We have already seen Southern Brave pull off a couple of heists this season, and MI London Women hung in there right till the very end. Despite conceding plenty from her first five balls, Nicola Carey came back superbly before Hayley Matthews showed all her experience against two of the cleanest ball-strikers in the women's game to ensure MI London Women escaped with a tie.
Kelly lead the charge - Carrying on from the finish she provided with the bat, Chinelle Henry struck with the very first ball. But that was as good as it got for MI London Women in the powerplay. Marie Kelly came out with intent and immediately put the pressure back on the home side. Kelly's knock laid the platform for the chase, but there was still work to be done. Amy Jones did not find run-scoring as easy early on, but she grew into her innings as it progressed. The arrival of Marizanne Kapp took the pressure off her, and together they chipped away at the target at a healthy rate.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH - Marie Kelly has been given the award for her entertaining knock of 45 runs from 28 balls. Kelly says that it was nerve-wracking to watch and gives credit to MI London Women as they fought really well. She adds that the wicket was a bit tricky with some uneven bounce. She reckons that 150 was a good total and ends by saying that their batters did well too.
Wow, what a game - A finish worthy of the London derby. London Spirit Women will feel they should have closed it out from the position they found themselves in, needing just 12 off the last 10 balls. At the same time, MI London Women, who came into the game on the back of three straight defeats and desperately in search of all four points, will have to settle for two as the points are shared.
The London derby ends in a tie at The Oval! Flatter, on off, Deandra Dottin drags it wide of long on and calls for two. She had to. Amelia Kerr gets around, picks it up and throws it towards the keeper, who whips the bails off. The replay confirms that Deandra Dottin had made it in.
Right then, we are down to the final ball. Remember, a tie is a tie in the league stage of The Hundred, so there will be no Super Five if the scores are level.
