Chennai Super Kings star all rounder Ravindra Jadeja and Kolkata Knight Riders all rounder Sunil Narine created history after the duo bagged the man of the match awards during Sunday's IPL 2024 double-header.
Jadeja's all-round effort of 43 from 26 balls followed by a bowling display of 3 for 20 in his quota of 4 overs as CSK registered a 28-run victory over Punjab Kings at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.

The southpaw's efforts saw him bag his second player of the match award in the ongoing season and his 16th IPL history, which eventually saw him surpass veteran Mahendra Singh Dhoni's tally for most man of the match awards for CSK.
Later in the day, former West Indies all-rounder Narine went level with his compatriot Andre Russell for most player of the match awards for KKR in IPL following another all-round effort of 81 off 39 balls and bowling figures of 1 for 22 in 4 overs.
Narine's performance helped KKR register a 98-run win over Lucknow Super Giants at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The victory also helped KKR go top of the IPL 2024 points table.
While Jadeja and Narine claimed the lead for respective teams in terms of most man of the match awards for a single team in IPL history, legendary AB de Villiers tops the list for most awards for a team. Here is a look at the teamwise most player of the match awards for active teams:
