Most Runs & Sixes in 20th Over of IPL Innings: MS Dhoni Continues to Dominate The Final Over in 2024

Chennai Super Kings veteran Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is dubbed the best finisher of the game, rolled back the years with a blistering knock against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 match 29 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (April 14).

MS Dhoni holds several records in the final overs of an innings in Indian Premier League history, scoring over 700 runs when facing the last 6 balls of an innings in IPL. He extended that record with yet another 4-ball 20 and a 16-ball 37 in IPL 2024.

While the former CSK captain leads the list for most runs in the 20th over in IPL, another player, who also has a great reputation of finishing matches - Mumbai Indians great Kieon Pollard, takes the second position.

Apart from Dhoni and Pollard, the top 15 list for most runs scored in the final over of an innings also features many other finishers like Ravindra Jadeja, Dinesh Karthik, Hardik Pandya and David Miller among others. Here is a look at the players with most runs in 20th over of IPL innings:

The legendary wicketkeeper-batter has also smashed over 50 sixes in the final over of IPL. Dhoni, Pollard, Jadeja and Hardik top the list for most sixes hit by a player in the IPL 20th over.
