MS Dhoni 300th ODI: Fans send their best wishes to the coolest cricketer ever

New Delhi, Aug 31: As veteran India cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni comes out to play against Sri Lanka in the fourth ODI at Colombo, the 36-year-old will be adding yet another feather in his illustrious career.
The former India captain will be making his 300th ODI appearance, a feat that has been only achieved by five Indians before him i.e. Sachin Tendulkar (463), Rahul Dravid (344), Mohammed Azharuddin (334), Sourav Ganguly (311) and Yuvraj Singh (304).
Dhoni would be the 20th cricketer to enter the elite 300 ODI club. Dhoni would become only the second-wicketkeeper after Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara to appear in his 300th 50-over game.
Considered world's best match-finisher Dhoni has become synonymous with the 'coolest' cricketer and the man with the finest cricketing brain.
In an era where his successor Virat Kohli is making and breaking records with every passing series, Dhoni is still the heartthrob of millions of cricket fans in this cricket crazy nation.
Dhoni is unarguably second most loved cricketer in India after iconic Sachin Tendulkar.
It might be the record 300th ODI for others but for Dhoni, it will nothing more than just another match when he'll perform his duty with his trademark calm and composure.
As one of the greatest ever cricketer is all set to another his fans are sending their best wishes to him and pray he keeps playing till 2019 World Cup and even beyond that.
"MS Dhoni is the best wicket-keeper-batman we have at this moment and there is no replacement for him at this moment. His fitness at the age of 36 is unparalleled and it's just amazing to see him the way he runs and fields during matches," said Akash Jain who is a cricket enthusiast and software engineer by profession.
When asked if he wants Dhoni to feature in the 2019 World Cup, he said,"World Cup is far away, we cannot predict whether he'll be fit enough till then. But yes, looking at his current form I feel he can definitely be a part of the Indian squad in 2019."
"Actually, I am a big fan of him and I want him to do his best. I don't think so he's struggling with his form. In fact, his name is enough when it comes to handling a pressure situation. The entire team might be under stress, but Dhoni is always cool and calm and that's the best thing about him," said Rohit, who is a student.
"I wish MS Dhoni all the very best on his 300th ODI and hope he continues representing India in more games," said Sharad, who works at call-center.
