MS Dhoni's long-hair look for TV commercial makes fans nostalgic

New Delhi, March 4: It has been almost a decade since we last saw Mahendra Singh Dhoni in his long-hair look. The former India captain gave a wonderful surprise to his fans by donning the old look.

MS Dhoni, who was as popular with his looks as his explosive batting, sported long-hair for a new television commercial. In the commercial shot for a chocolate brand Snickers, Dhoni has not just donned the long-hair but also took the get up of a Gladiator.

During his early days in the India national side, Dhoni was immensely popular for his long-hair. The Ranchi-lad was even complimented by former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, during India's tour of Pakistan in 2006, that long-hair suits him and that he shouldn't have a haircut.

However, the wicketkeeper-batsman changed his look soon after India lifted the maiden ICC T20I World Cup in 2007 under his leadership. Dhoni, who was named the captain of the Indian cricket team in the ODIs, took a rather serious look after being handed over the responsibility of leading the national side.

Fans always loved and admired the most successful Indian skipper for his stylish looks and long-hair. Seeing their favourite cricketer in his old looks fans went nostalgic and remembered the old Mahi.

In the TV commercial, Dhoni was also seen sporting 'Yellow Jersey' his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) colours.

Dhoni has returned as the captain of CSK after the franchise made a comeback to the league after serving two-years' suspension. Dhoni was retained by the franchise for Rs 15 crore for the upcoming season of the cash-rich league.

Here's how fans reacted on Twitter watching old Mahi on the screen:
