He may not be in action during the tri-nation series but the wicketkeeper-batsman is gearing up for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018.

The veteran India cricketer will now be seen in action on April 7 when his franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) would be locking horns with Defending Champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium in the tournament opener.

CSK are making a comeback to the IPL after a gap of two years. The Chennai-based franchise are returning to the cash-rich league after facing a two-year ban by the Supreme Court.

Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja were retained by franchise before IPL auction and later bought 23 more players in the auction.
