The character of 'Ravi', a senior player and handsome hunk in the Indian dressing room, is shown as a womaniser. The character of Ravi in the movie is shown cheating on his wife during a foreign tour.

Though filmmakers didn't use the full names of the cricketers shown in the film but featured the characters having first names as, Ravi, Navjot, Manoj and Kapil.

Anyone who followed Indian cricket team in late '80s and early 90's could easily understand who these four cricketers in the film are.

It is the portrayal of his character in the Bollywood film has perhaps irked Ravi Shastri. Just like Ravi Shastri, the character of Ravi in the movie took over as cricket commentator after his retirement from cricket.
