In Match 52 of IPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will welcome Gujarat Titans at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday (May 4). In their four previous duels, both have won two times each. In their last face-off this season, RCB thrashed the Titans by nine wickets.
RCB, after losing six matches in a row, just made a comeback by defeating SRH and GT in back-to-back matches. Though it was not enough to lift them from the bottom of the points table.

The condition of the Titans is also not looking good, as they have managed to register only four wins so far in this season. With eight points, GT are sitting at eighth on the table.
RCB's bowling attack is one of the poorest in this IPL. Except for Mohammed Siraj, the Challengers' lack of experienced international bowlers is a major point of concern. Though Yash Dayal and Swapnil Singh have done well in recent matches.
Karn Sharma, Swapnil Singh, and Glenn Maxwell are the available options in the spin department, while pace-attack will be managed by Yash Dayal, Mohammed Siraj and Cameron Green.
On the other hand, GT have a very balanced and experienced squad, yet they failed to deliver up to expectations. Rashid Khan is also not up to par, as he has picked only eight wickets in eight matches, his lowest ever wicket-tally at this stage.
Mohit Sharma, after a stellar IPL 2023, is conceding runs at an 11.65 economy rate in the death overs of this IPL. In pace attack, they have plenty of options, like Sandeep Warrier, Azmatullah Omarzai, Noor Ahmad and Mohit Sharma. Whereas the spin attack will be led by Rashid Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Sai Kishore.
Mohammed Siraj (RCB): The right-arm medium-fast bowler has yet to deliver the performance expected from him. The 30-year-old Indian pacer has bagged only six wickets so far this season.
Siraj will be a perfect match for David Miller in the slog overs, and he will be confident as he dismissed Miller twice in the past. But being the only experienced pacer in the squad, it will be upon him to take up the responsibility to lead the bowling attack from the front at this crucial point in the league.
Yash Dayal (RCB): The 26-year-old Indian youngster has eight wickets in this IPL. After having a rough start, he started to deliver some decent performances in the last few matches. The left-arm medium-fast bowler now has 21 wickets in his IPL career. A decent performance from him will be very much needed for RCB to improve their position.
Sandeep Warrier (GT): The 33-year-old right-arm medium pacer has very little exposure in the IPL and has only taken seven wickets in nine matches. This season, he delivered some good spells.
Against DC, he scalped batters like Prithvi Shaw, Jake Fraser-McGruk and Shai Hope in just three overs. Warrier could be useful against in-form Rajat Patidar, who has a lesser success rate against fast bowlers than against spinners. A similar performance could help GT keep their play-off dreams alive.
Sai Kishore (GT): The 27-year-old Indian spinner is also new to the IPL and has played only ten matches. The left-arm spinner has picked up seven wickets in this IPL. As Rashid Khan is not in form, it is the best chance for him to step up and contribute.
For both teams, this match would be highly crucial. It will be the last chance for them to survive in this season. Though the hosts will be in a slightly better position with two wins in a row. Hence, a high-scoring thriller can be expected from this Saturday evening clash.
