While the entire team, including captain Rohit Sharma, is busy preparing for another high-octane league match in the 10-team showpiece event. Their skipper has landed in an unwanted controversy.

Reports in the media claim that Rohit Sharma - who is a resident of Mumbai - has been issued three challans from the police for breaking traffic rules. As per reports, Rohit - who arrived at the MCA Stadium on Wednesday (October 17) in his personal car - has been fined by the cops for overspeeding.
Rohit arrived at the MCA Stadium in Pune in his Lamborghini car while the rest of the members of the Indian Cricket Team, including Virat Kohli, travelled in the team bus for the team's training session.
However, reports in the local media claim that Rohit was issued three challans by the cops for overspeeding on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. As per a Pune Mirror report, Rohit sped his car in excess of 200 kilometers per hour, which is way above the speed limit set for the road.
The report further quoted the traffic police as saying, "Rohit's car touched a speed of around 215 kmph at one stage on the highway and thus violated the traffic rules. He was issued three challans by the cops."
This is an unwanted controversy the Indian captain has found himself embroiled. Rohit - who is a national icon and idol of thousands of young cricket fans in the country - has definitely set a wrong precedent and might have to pay a hefty fine for the same as the administration will try to set an example.
