RR vs MI: Rohit Sharma has found his batting touch in the ongoing IPL 2024 for the Mumbai Indians. As Mumbai Indians take on Rajasthan Royals in a crucial match on Monday (April 22), Rohit is likely to play a pivotal part.
Rohit Sharma lost his captaincy at MI ahead of this season but that hasn't affected his batting as the India skipper has rejuvenated himself in the IPL fold. Despite his terrific form for India, Rohit was struggling to score runs for the Paltans in the last three IPL seasons.

Rohit scored 332, 268 and 381 in the last three seasons respectively, which is underwhelming for someone like the Mumbai batter. But this year has been a different one. The MI star already has 287 runs in 7 innings. His strike rate is also significantly better and the veteran seems to have reinvented his lost form.
Rohit has already scored a century in the tournament and has often provided a stormy start to the team. He scored a duck in the previous match against Rajasthan Royals, but apart from that, the 37-year-old has been amongst the runs.
He started off with 43 and 26 against Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively. Then the India captain scored an unbeaten 105 against Chennai Super Kings which came in a losing cause. He also showed his batting prowess against Delhi Capitals, when he scored 49 runs.
Rohit Sharma doesn't boast a magnificent record against Rajasthan Royals. Over the years, Rohit Sharma has managed 541 runs against the Royals in 27 innings. He has a moderate average of just over 20 and has only managed two fifties against the Royals. His previous fifty aginst RR came in 2011, while the highest score of 73 came in his Deccan Chargers days.
Interestingly, Rohit's last four knocks against the Royals have yielded only 15 runs and the MI batter would be hoping for a much better outing at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
