SA20 Auction 2024: Full List of SA20 Retained Players, Team Purse, Auction Date, Auction City

All six SA20 teams have announced the full list of players they have retained for the next edition of the franchise-based premier domestic T20 competition. Cricket South Africa (CSA) will hold the auction for the next season on September 27 in Johannesburg where all the teams will be looking to strengthen their squad for the second edition.

For the second season, the salary purse of every team has been increased to R39.1 million, which is R5.1 million extra from the inaugural edition. Runners-up from the previous season, Pretoria Capitals will have the highest purse heading into the auction with a total amount of R9.737 million.

Paarl Royals are the second on the list with R8.865 million in their purse. The franchise will look to further strengthen its squad for the next season. Jo'burg Super Kings have R6.1 million remaining in their purse while MI Cape Town will enter the auction with a purse of R5.05 million.

Champions of the inaugural season, Sunrisers Easter Capes (R1.865 million) along with Durban Super Giants (R1.675 million) have the smallest purse available.

SA20 have allowed the maximum squad strength to be 19. Every team is required to have a minimum of 10 South African players and a maximum of seven overseas players. The teams should also have at least one rookie player, who is a South African.
