In doing so, Mishra became only the third Indian, after Ravi Shastri and Yuvraj Singh, to hold this distinction. Interestingly, Mishra is also a left-handed batsman.

As per a TOI report, after playing a steady knock of 51 runs off 35 balls, Mishra decimated off-spinner Tushar Kumare with the record number of boundaries in one over, in his blistering innings of 91.

In his whirlwind innings of 91, which came off just 46 balls, Mishra smashed nine sixes off the last 11 balls.

"I was promoted to No 4 because their left-arm spinner was bowling well and I was sent to up the scoring rate," Mishra was quoted as saying by the news daily.

"It's a dream come true. I remember Yuvraj Singh's six sixes in an over on TV nine years back. Never did I imagine that I'd do something similar," Mishra added further.

He felt little disappointed for not being able to complete his innings into a century.

Yuvraj Singh had smashed six consecutive sixes in an over against England during inaugural World T20 in 2007.

The left-handed batsman targetted pacer Stuart Broad to set the world record. Yuvraj also slammed the fastest fifty (in just 12 deliveries) in that match, which is still a world record in the history of the game.

While Ravi Shastri, on the other hand, had done so in a Ranji Trophy match way back in 1985.
