Shardul Thakur gets married to fiance Mittali Parulkar in a traditional ceremony - Watch

Shardul Thakur tied the knot in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding ceremony held in Mumbai.

Mumbai, Feb 27: India cricketer Shardul Thakur joined his fellow teammates KL Rahul and Axar Patel to get married to his fiance Mittali Parulkar on Monday (February 27) in Mumbai.

Thakur (31) tied the knot in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding ceremony held in Mumbai. The couple got engaged to each other in November 2021.

India captain Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal were amongst those who attended the all-rounder's wedding along with their spouses, Ritika Sajdeh and Dhanashree Chahal.

India star batter, Shreyas Iyer, also attended the wedding of his fellow Mumbaikar.

Mittali Parulkar isn't very popular on social media and runs a bakery shop in Thane named 'All The Bakes'. She has 5000 followers on Instagram but has kept her account private. Only close friends and family members are able to follow her and her posts.

Shardul made his international debut in 2017. He has played 8 Tests, 34 ODIs and 25 T20Is for India. The right-handed batter has scored 621 runs and picked up 99 international wickets.

Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar also attended the wedding. All the cricketers were dressed in traditional Indian attire at the wedding.

After attending Thakur's wedding, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian side will now head for Indore, where they'll lock horns with Australia in the third Test match. The match will begin on Wednesday (March 1).

Videos of Shardul and Mittali's pre-wedding ceremonies have been flooding social media over the weekend. The cricketer was spotted dancing during the haldi ceremony.
