Kovai did come back thanks to a double whammy from leg spinner Jhathavedh Subramanyan. In the end, a cameo from Atheeq Rahman and an unbeaten 37 off just 19 balls from skipper B Anirudh Sita Ram meant that Madurai got over the line with 3 balls to spare.
