Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians will take on each other in the Match 8 of IPL 2024 today (Wednesday, March 27) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
The two former champions made a losing start to their campaign this year. SRH faltered late to lose at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders, while MI's late choke meant they had to come back empty-handed from their match against Gujarat Titans.

SRH appointed Pat Cummins as their captain who will have to sort out the proper balance in the team. Hardik Pandya took over the leadership after his move to the Paltans, and the star-studded team need to step up after their previous match blues.
Played: 21
SRH Wins: 9
MI Wins: 12
Key Factor: Sunrisers Hyderabad have lost four out of their last five matches against Mumbai Indians.
SRH: For Hyderabad, Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen are the key batters to keep an eye on. Heinrich Klaasen played an enormous knock in Kolkata but failed to take his team home.
MI: For the Mumbai Indians, it is definitely going to be Rohit Sharma. The India captain will be itching to score big and play a part in team's win, especially after the recent developments.
SRH: SRH have always had a decent bowling unit. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan can be their key weapons.
MI: Mumbai's star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has started this season with a bang against GT with 4 wickets. Bumrah is someone who would be keen to replicate the same while someone like Gerald Coetzee can shine at Uppal as well.
Mumbai have had the recent upper hand in this fixture but the dynamics can change this season. SRH do have a strong batting unit this time. MI's internal cacophony has been a distraction, but they will be fancying their chances.
SRH will miss Wanindu Hasaranga who continues to be unavailable, whereas MI will not have the services of Suryakumar Yadav. But keeping all in mind, we predict Sunrisers Hyderabad may get their first points on board.
Winner Prediction: SRH
Highest Scorer Prediction: Rohit Sharma (MI)
Best Bowler Prediction: T Natarajan (SRH)
