SRH vs MI IPL 2024: Rohit Sharma Becomes First Player To Make 200 IPL Appearances For Mumbai Indians; Joins MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli's Exclusive Club

Rohit Sharma became the first player to make 200 appearances for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League as he walked into the middle against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday (March 27).

Rohit, who joined the Mumbai Indians in 2011, is playing his landmark 200th IPL game for the Mumbai-based franchise at a venue, where it all started for the star batter back in 2008 with the now-defunct Deccan Chargers.

Before this game, the 36-year-old had played 199 IPL matches in Blue and Gold clothing, scoring 5084 runs at an average of 29.39 and a strike rate of 129.86. Rohit has scored a century and 34 fifties in 195 innings for MI, with the best score of 109*.

Former all-rounder and current batting coach Kieron Pollard has made the next most appearances for the Mumbai Indians, having donned the blue and gold in 189 matches.

Current skipper Hardik Pandya, who returned to the franchise after a two-year gap, is closing on his 100th appearance with 93 caps to his name, while ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah is in the top 5 list for most IPL appearances for Mumbai Indians. Here is a look at the list:
