Stuart Binny interviewed by wife Mayanti Langer during KPL match: Twitterati love it

Mysuru, Sep 9: Senior India reject Stuart Binny's all-round performance gave Belagavi Panthers a 23-run win over Bengaluru Blasters in a clash of Karnataka Premier League 2017 on Friday (September 8) in Mysuru.

Binny hammered a belligerent 46-ball 87 and picked up 2 wickets for 37 to produce one of the finest all round performances in the season. It was his aggressive batting that took Panthers to 192 for 7 and restricted Blasters to 169 in 19.3 overs.

The Belagavi skipper may have fallen short of a well deserved century but inspired his team to an emphatic win. Belagavi had a wobbly start, losing their first four wickets within seven overs with just 32 runs on board. But Binny steered the side through troubled waters and brought them in a commanding position.

But an interesting incident at the innings break found a lot of mention on social media when Binny's wife Mayanti Langer, who is an anchor with the broadcaster, interviewed him.

Binny, apart from talking about his knock, during the interview revealed it was their wedding anniversary.

However, it was the complete professional interaction between the two which won the hearts of several cricket enthusiasts.

Later, fans took to Twitter to congratulate the couple on their anniversary.

Special to be on the cricket field together today because cricket brought us together...five years #blessed
