Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants - the two teams who finished in the playoffs stage in IPL 2022 - are set to take on each other in match number 15 of IPL 2023 on Monday (April 10).
RCB - who are being led by former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis - are coming on the back of a big defeat in the previous game. While KL Rahul-led LSG won their last IPL game when they hosted Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Match 15: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
Date: Monday, April 10
Time: 7.30 pm IST
The Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Lucknow Super Giants match of IPL 2023 will be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Captains: Faf du Plessis (RCB) & KL Rahul (LSG)
RCB vs LSG: These two teams played twice in IPL 2022 and on both occasions, Faf du Plessis and his band came out victorious over Rahul and his troops. LSG's Rahul and Quinton de Kock - due to their past association with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL - have a fair idea of how the Chinnaswamy pitch behaves in Bengaluru.
The two teams are lined up with some of the best T20 specialists in their ranks and it is going to be a mouthwatering contest between two batting powerhouses. LSG have also been a force to reckon with due to their emphatic wins at home and the way their bowlers - spinners and pacers - have performed.
Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Kyle Mayers, Mark Wood, Deepak Hooda, Mohammed Siraj, Krunal Pandya, David Willey, Ravi Bishnoi, etc. are some of the big names who will be in action on Monday (April 10) at M Chinnaswamy.
RCB came out victorious on both occasions against LSG in the last season and with the way they performed as a team in their first match of this season it looks highly likely that Faf and his band will emerge as the winners of this highly-anticipated contest. But LSG look like a team to beat and it won't be easy for RCB to prevail over visitors.
