New Delhi, Aug 30: Bangladesh spinner Shakib Al Hasan spun his web and took Bangladesh to a historic win over Australia on Wednesday (August 30).

David Warner's valiant century (112 off 135 balls, comprising 16 fours and a six) went in vain as Bangla Tigers defeated Australia by 20 runs to claim their first Test win against them, ever since making their debut in 2000.

Shakib took overall 10 wickets in the match and was also the top-scorer (85) for the side in the first innings. The all-rounder once again emerged as the top performer and biggest match-winner for his team.

Chasing a daunting 265 on a rank-turner pitch, the visitors started pretty well but witnessed yet another batting collapse once Warner departed.

Warner struck his 19th Test century before rest of the Australian side once again subdued against Shakib's spin and was bundled for 244.

Bangladesh spinners, especially Shakib, proved too hot for the visitors to handle as they lost eight wickets within two sessions after starting the fourth day's play from 109/2.

From 158/2, the tourists were folded to 244 all out registering yet another defeat on Asian soil. Hosts continued their unbeaten streak at home and registered one of their most famous victories.

The cricketing world went in awe as Bangladesh stunned Test giants Australia in a thrilling encounter.

Earlier, on Wednesday minnows West Indies shocked England as they won the second Test by five wickets. Shai Hope slammed century in both the innings as Jason Holder-led side came back strongly to level the series 1-1 against Joe Root and Company.
