Spectators once again witnessed a humble side of Mortaza at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium during Bangladesh's 3rd and final ODI match of the series against Afghanistan on Saturday (October 1).
An incident occured during the 29th over of Afghanistan's innings. Afghans were struggling at 102/7, while chasing a target of 280 to win the series, when the match was halted for a few minutes.
An over-enthusiastic fan breached the security and ran directly towards Mortaza to hug his favourite cricket star.

The security personnel immediately rushed towards the pitch-invader to detain him and remove the intruder off-the-field, but to everyone's surprise, Mortaza saved him from the ire of security persons and instead let the fan have his moment.
Mortaza's gesture moved everyone present in the stadium and the right-handed pacer received massive applaud from the cricket-crazy crowd.

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal smashed a brilliant century as hosts crushed Afghanistan by 141 runs in the ODI to clinch the three-match series 2-1 in Dhaka.
