Kohli made 211 in 366 deliveries before Jeetan Patel brought an end to his mammoth innings. The 27-year-old had another achievement under his name by becoming first Indian skipper to hit two Test doubles.
Kohli smashed his maiden double century against West Indies at Antigua in July earlier this year and entered the elite group of Indian skippers who smashed Test doubles.

Kohli is only the 5th Indian skipper to register a double century in the longer format of the game. He joined Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni in an elite club.
Kohli is also the fifth Indian batsman to register two double centuries in a year in Tests, joining Sachin Tendulkar (2004 & 2010), Vinod Kambli (1993), Rahul Dravid (2003) and Virender Sehwag (2008).
However, he is the first to achieve the landmark in an overseas Test.
