Virat Kohli completes 3,000 Test runs, becomes 19th Indian to reach the milestone

North Sound (Antigua), July 21: India's 'run machine' Virat Kohli completed yet another milestone by completing 3000 Test runs and became the 19th Indian batsman to do so.

Kohli needed just 6 runs to reach this milestone after he came out to bat against West Indies in the first Test match of the four-match series here on July 21.

The India skipper first took 3 runs and later played a fine cover drive for four to name another record for him.

However, it took Kohli 43 matches and 73 innings to enter this elite club.

Virender Sehwag is the fastest Indian batsman to reach 3000 runs in fewest innings. The opener played 34 matches and took 55 innings to complete 3000 runs in the longer format of the game.

Virat ranks 8th in terms of playing lesser innings to reach this stage.
