Hyderabad, Feb 10: Bangladesh captain and wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim became the butt of jokes after taking a bizarre decision to review Virat Kohli's wicket.
Rahim immediately called for the DRS from behind the stumps without even discussing the bowler. (Day 1 report)
Had Rahim discussed about it, even the bowler would have suggested him not to waste the DRS as the Indian skipper played the ball with his bat and there was no involvement of the pads.
All this occurred during 62nd over of the Indian innings on day 1 in left-arm spinner Taijul Islam's over. Islam had bowled a full-length ball, which Kohli defended right from the middle of the bat.
But to everyone's surprise, Bangladesh captain went for the review after the on-field umpires turned down his half-hearted the appeal. Even the bowler wasn't interested as he didn't initially appeal for a leg before.
Surprised by his counterpart's bizarre DRS call, Kohli too started laughing.

Rahim was mocked over social media as cricket experts and fans criticised him for the worst DRS call ever.
