In-form Virat Kohli joins Team India for Asia Cup T20 after rare break; tweets pic with MSD, Yuvi

Kolkata, Feb 22: India's star batsman Virat Kohli has joined his team mates, after a rare international break, as an upbeat Team India left for Dhaka on Sunday to participate in Asia Cup T20.

Kohli, India's most successful middle order batter in the recent times, was rested for the T20 series against Sri Lanka, which Men In Blue won 2-1.

Virat Kohli joins Team India after break

He was the highest run-getter for the side during the T20 series against Australia, which India won 3-0. Kohli had slammed a half century in all 3 T20 games. Kohli looks in sublime form and fans have high hopes from the right-handed batter.

Kohli utilised the break to spend some quality time with family and friends. Team India's test skipper visited Amritsar's Golden Temple and Attari-Wagah Border apart from launching some brands.

During this time, the 27-year-old Delhi boy was also in the news for his break-up with his actor girlfriend Anushka Sharma.

Virat also looked very active on social media as he kept sharing his pictures on Twitter and Instagram every now and then.

On his flight to Dhaka, Virat uploaded his picture withi his limited-overs captain MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh.

Kohli tweeted along the pic saying, "Enroute Dhaka with legendary company, @msdhoni and @YUVSTRONG12."

Asia Cup is scheduled to be played from February 24 to March 6. With Virat Kohli's entry into the side, Team India is a strong contender for the title.
