The talismanic batter, who returned to competitive cricket after a hiatus of two months, started the IPL 2024 on a positive note. The 36-year-old became the first batter to score 200-plus runs in the season and also became the first centurion of the IPL 2024 edition.

The right-handed RCB batter - who is opening innings for the franchise - seems to have started this season where he left last season. The batting mainstay who scored 639 runs in 14 innings, including a ton, in IPL 2023 is looking in fine touch in IPL 2024 as well.

However, in the next two games, he slammed back-to-back fifties (77 and 83) against Punjab and Kolkata and became the leading run-scorer of the season.

In the match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Kohli played his 100th T20 match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The right-handed batter from Delhi Kohli became the first Indian player in history to play 100 matches in the shortest format of the game in a single venue.
