Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh watch Federer-Djokovic match at Australian Open

MS Dhoni-led Indian team is in Melbourne to play against Australia in the 2nd Twenty20 International tomorrow (January 29). Kohli, a big fan of Federer, tweeted a picture of him with Yuvraj from the tennis stadium in Melbourne.

"At the Australian Open Semi Final with @YUVSTRONG12 paa Cannot get better than this. Come on @rogerfederer #FedvsDJO," the 27-year-old Kohli tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

But, much to the disappointment of Kohli and Yuvraj, Federer was trailing against the world number one. Djokovic was in outstanding form as he demolished the Swiss in the opening two sets 6-1, 6-2. Federer bounced back to take the 3rd set 6-3. However, Djokovic won the next set 6-3 to enter the final.

In January 2015, Kohli had personally met Federer in Australia and described the meeting as "a day I will never forget". He had called the Swiss great an "absolute legend".

Also last year, Kohli became a co-owner of UAE Royals in the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) and Federer played for his team.

"I have always followed tennis with great interest and today I am glad to be part of a professional tennis league team," Kohli had said in last September.

"I am a huge fan of Roger Federer and with him joining the UAE Royals, my decision to be on board with the team was firm. The UAE Royals feature some of tennis' greatest players and I am confident about the prospects of the team in the IPTL. I am also excited about the format of the IPTL, which I am sure will drive further interest in the game of tennis," he added.
