New Delhi, Sep 8: Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag greeted Australia batsman George Bailey on his birthday (Sep 7) and even gave him a new title.

Piers Morgan's attempt to mock Sehwag backfires

Sehwag took to Twitter to wish the former Australia skipper, who turned 34 on September 7, and lauded him for always sporting a smiling face. Sehwag called Bailey as 'Cricket's Mr Hansmukh Lal' which translates to 'Cricket's Mr Smiley'.

"Happy Birthday Cricket ke Hansmukh Lal, George Bailey. Instead of smiley emoji, u can pick up any of his photo & use it," tweeted Nawab of Najafgarh.

Bailey played with Sehwag in the Indian Premier League (IPL) while playing for Kings XI Punjab. The Tasmania-born player is presently associated with MS Dhoni-led Rising Pune Supergiants.

Sehwag has become popular after developing a knack of greeting his fellow cricketers in a humourous way on social media.

Earlier on July 8, Sehwag, in his own style, wished Sourav Ganguly "Dada" on Twitter on his 44th birthday and fans loved Viru for his words.

Sehwag recalled the famous shirt-waving by the former skipper at Lord's balcony after India had defeated England in the NatWest tri-series one-day tournament in 2002.

"HappyBirthdayDada @SGanguly99. May you keep on helping India wave our flag high, just like u waved ur shirt at Lords," Sehwag tweeted.

During his playing days, Sehwag had his own style of batting. Now, in his post-retirement days, the Delhi batter has adopted a unique style of commentary or the way he writes on the micro-blogging site Twitter.
