WC semi final: Australian media caution Clarke & Co against Indian 'juggernaut'

Sydney, Mar 20: Australia might have thrashed 'mercurial' Pakistan by 6 wickets in the quarter finals to secure a berth in the last four of the ICC World Cup 2015, but the local media here has cautioned the home side to be wary of an upbeat team India.

Oz media cautions Clarke against India

Michael Clarke and Co will now face Men in Blue, who are unbeaten in the tournament so far, at Sydney on March 26 to play in the second semi final match. Hence, the Australian media has suggested the home side to not take MS Dhoni's men lightly.

According to News.com.au, Australia is going to face an Indian side far more formidable than the one they pulversied during the summer.

Lauding India's fielding, the report stated that athletic catches, a sharp run-out - tasks that seemed bothersome in December are now shelled peanuts.

Earlier in the day, when Clarke was asked about facing India, he said they were in good form and playing well and lauded the captaincy of MS Dhoni.

"They are in good form. They are playing well. MS Dhoni is leading them very well," Clarke said after the match in Adelaide. "It will be a tough challenge," the skipper added.

India had confirmed their berth yesterday (March 19) with a convincing 109-run victory over Bangladesh in Melbourne.

The last time India and Australia faced off in a World Cup was in 2011 when Dhoni's team knocked out Ricky Ponting's side in the quarter-final in Ahmedabad.
